Robin Perry Dana, a native of Georgia, lives and works in St Petersburg, Florida where she serves as Gallery Director of Articles Art Gallery and Curator of its satellite gallery devoted to special exhibition projects, the Leslie Curran Gallery. She earned a BA from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta with concentrations in art, art history, and classical studies, and an MFA in photography from the University of Connecticut. Dana taught photography at the University of Connecticut, Agnes Scott College and the University of Georgia, as well as study abroad programs in Cuba, Costa Rica, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, and Italy. Her photographs and videos have been exhibited up and down the east coast and are included in numerous collections.
Over the last 25 years, Dana has curated, organized, promoted, and installed art exhibitions for hundreds of contemporary artists. She has worked in grant writing, book & magazine publishing, and produced essays, articles and lectures on contemporary art. In her current position, she is responsible for promoting the careers of dozens of artists, emerging and mid-career, from near and far, and has organized 36 exhibitions at the Leslie Curran Gallery since it opened 4 years ago.
